Our History; Though Brief: Years in the Making... The fall of 2002 was a very happening time for my husband and me. After about five very transitional years in our lives and ministry, the prophets began to speak over us very poignant words of direction. God, through His servants, started revealing His intentions of establishing a prophetic community in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Up to this point, we had been in full time ministry almost twenty years. Between the two of us, we had been Associate Pastors, Worship Leaders, a Senior Pastor, traveling Preachers and in 1998 my husband was set in as a five-fold Prophet. We were raised up in a local church on Long Island, New York, and we full-heartedly believe that the expression of a local body is where God places His glory! When God started speaking to us about His desire to raise up a prophetic community in Hershey, we knew very little about the town, other than the fact it was the “Sweetest Place on Earth”! But He said there was a people He wanted to raise in the midst of it for His Glory. So in January 2003 we started a prayer meeting in a local hotel called The Comfort Inn. We didn’t advertise or do anything to promote ourselves – we asked God to be our promoter. That first night, my husband and I expected it could very well be only us and his parents that would show up, but “somehow” word got out about what God was about to do! Forty or so people gathered in that little hotel function room, on a cold January night to pray and the miracle began. It has been three years now since those first precious moments of new beginnings and God has been faithful to us every step of the way. He opened a door for us to rent the second floor of The Old Hershey Middle School, right smack dab in the middle of town – how’s that for the favor of God? We have spent the last two years renovating and getting it ready for His move in our area. His hand has been so evidently upon us as a church, and we feel privileged to be part of His plan for Hershey and the surrounding area. Hershey has been known for years as the “Sweetest Place on Earth” because of what has taken place in the natural, but we at KLCC, are actively believing God that one day Hershey will be know for what God is doing in the spirit here! We believe that the wind of His Holy Spirit will blow through this whole region stirring up once again the wells of revival! In the mid to late 1800’s there was a real move of the God in our area, and we’re asking God to come and do it again!FREE Printable Booklet |
